All teachers are required to maintain and use updated curriculum guides for preparation of lesson plans or thematic units of study. Lesson plans/units of study must include:

1.             Objectives which specify what pupils should know or be able to do at the completion of that lesson;

2.             Procedures or instructional strategies for accomplishing the objectives and;

3.             Means of assessment.

Lesson plans/units of study should be prepared in enough detail with enough clarity to enable a substitute teacher to carry on the program during the absence of the teacher.

The building principal shall check lesson plans on a regular basis.
