ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY FOR TECHNOLOGY
20011 - 2012 SCHOOL YEAR
As a user of Laurel Springs Elementary School's computer facilities, I agree to the following rules:
1. I will respect the school's, teachers' and other student’s property.
2. I will not copy any material from the computer without the permission of my teacher.
3. I will not take or change, in any way, information that belongs to another person.
4. I will not access or attempt to access the school’s computer network with the intent to change or alter any settings or information.
5. I will use the Internet as instructed and I will not attempt to get into unacceptable sites. I understand that if I once violate this rule, I will no longer have access to the computer lab or Internet access in the school building for a period of time to be determined by the administration.
6. I will not enter my personal E-Mail or Instant Messaging accounts using the school computers.
7. I will not take part in or be responsible for cyber bullying any student in Laurel Springs School through the use of email, texting, or social networking.

Laurel Springs School does not have the resources or the ability to supervise all pupils during Internet use. Our network is protected by Surf Control filtering software, but there is still a possibility that your child could gain access to "objectionable" areas. By signing this permission slip you are acknowledging these facts and allowing your child to use the Internet.
