We are off to a great start in sixth grade.  We jumped right into our schoolwork.  We began learning about the Paleolithic and Neolithic Eras in seeing how simple their lives where.  Next we will journey through and learn about Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt.  We are looking forward to a great ride.  We also began exploring organisms and how they adapt and survive.  How amazing life is!!   We began a Global Children’s Challenge where we took a promise to move more and have fun.  Each student received a pedometer and is striving for 15,000 steps a day.  We have 50 days to walk and accomplish our goal each day.  We continue to learn math through Everyday Math.  We are looking forward to a great year in sixth grade and getting ourselves ready for Yellin!!
