Title I

Title I is a federally funded program designed to provide additional academic support and learning opportunities for students at schools with high percentages of children from low-income families. The goal of Title I is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic standards and assessments.

At Laurel Springs School, the Title I program supports students by:

  • Providing targeted instruction in reading and math

  • Offering additional resources such as intervention specialists and instructional materials

  • Supporting parent and family engagement to strengthen the home-school connection

  • Using data to identify students who need extra help and monitor their progress

Through these services, Title I helps close the achievement gap and empowers all students to succeed academically.
